Henry Challenges Who? - Here is Henry Alfred Grummorson brandishing his sword, ready to have "ado." You decide who Henry is challenging and draw that person or creature to the right of Henry.

Hills with Trees and Flowers - Here is a peaceful scene for you. I left an open spot for you to draw somebody to enjoy it. Also, what time of day is it? It could be a bright sunny day, or you could make it a night scene, or maybe it is evening with the sun setting. There are so many choices and they are all fun to draw!
Composition and Color Exercise - Here is a way to demonstrate perspective and color in visual art. Cut out the small, medium, and large person, sun and house. Start by placing the small house on the horizon line (the third printout). Then put the medium sun at the top of the page and the large person at the bottom of the page. Which is closer; the person or the house? Now put the big house on the bottom of the page and the small person on the horizon line. Which is closer now?
If you want to explore the way color changes the mood of a picture, you could make a few different versions of the same the picture using different color schemes. And then you can change the composition of the pictures to see how that effects the mood. The possibilities go on and on! |
