Acclaimed author and illustrator Kenneth Kraegel loves visiting schools! Get ready for an engaging presentation that will take the students on the fascinating journey of making a book.
Watch a story as it starts as an idea in Kenneth's head and, with a lot of hard work, slowly becomes a book. Along the way students will learn about editing, revising, sketching, storyboarding, what makes a good illustration, and the value of perseverance. Students will enjoy discovering new vocabulary words and getting drawing tips. Kenneth uses lots of slides, props, and questions for students in his energetic and engaging presentation.
Presentations last for 50 minutes, including a book reading and time for Q&A at the end.
Kenneth is comfortable speaking to groups large and small. The school provides a projector and screen and a microphone when necessary.

The building is still buzzing from your visit! I've had lots of great feedback from teachers AND students....I have no doubt that parents will be thrilled with what their children come home to tell them this afternoon about our author visit. It was great to have you here this morning.
