Hi, my name is Kenneth Kraegel.  Thank you for visiting my website!

I grew up in Mishwaka, Indiana with my parents, my older brother, and two younger sisters.  Now I live with my wife and my son in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  I don't think that I have changed very much.  When I was a kid I played in the sandbox, now I play in the garden.  When I was a kid I ran around a lot with my friends, now I run for exercise.  When I was a kid I liked to read and draw, and I still do today!

Here is where I do my drawing, painting, and writing:

To make my pictures, I first sketch ideas in pencil on inexpensive paper.  When I have a good sketch, I draw it again in pencil on thick watercolor paper, then I draw over the pencil lines with a pen and it looks like this:

Then I paint over the ink drawing in watercolor like this:

The picture above took me about a week to make.  There is a picture like this one in my book, King Arthur's Very Great Grandson, that took me around two weeks to finish.

Thanks again for visiting my website, I hope you enjoyed it!
